Yorkshire Head
Yorkshire Head
Saturday saw a small Leeds contingent head over to York for the Yorkshire Head of the River Race, organised by the Yorkshire Rowing Council.
For some of our masters and J14 rowers it was their first experience of racing with some of the J14s only been rowing for six weeks, and some of the masters coming off our development programme last summer.
Well done to all who raced, some excellent performances. Great work by the J14s stepping up into J15 to race and a huge congratulations to our masters women who having had to switch from racing in womens masters to women’s open coxed fours due to no opposition then went onto an emphatic win in the W4+ event by a huge margin!
Big thanks to the Regional Rowing Council for organising the event, thanks also to University of Leeds Boat Club for towing and as always a special thanks to Cross Keys Garage, Morley for the use of an Isuzu 4x4 for towing.
