Trent Head, JIRR Trials and GB Para Trials Weekend

The club had one of its busiest Saturdays of the season to date with racing in three locations!

First up was Nottingham Head of the Trent where a smaller group of older juniors and our senior women were racing on Trentside. We had a good day out with wins in the J18 4x and W Development 4x categories.

Second was the Yorkshire Junior Inter-Regional Trials being held on home water at Leeds.

A hugely successful day with up to 14 wins across the board in multiple events. Once again showing that we have really grown that strength in depth in the junior programme.

Finally we had Connor representing Leeds Rowing Club at the invitational GB Rowing Para trials. Connor put in an excellent performance in his PR3 1x, which stands him in good stead for the rest of the season.

Huge thanks go to Craig for towing for Trent Head, to Cross Keys Garage Morley for their support as always with the free use of an Isuzu DMax 4x4, to the Yorkshire Junior Team Managers Jess and Ryan for organising another excellent JIRR trials, to the club volunteers who helped out at the JIRR trials and finally to the junior parents who put on some epic catering for the trials, keeping everyone well fed!
