Silver Medal for Georgie at World Rowing Cup I

Congratulations to Leeds RC member and former Yorkshire Start athlete Georgie Brayshaw on her success at World Rowing Cup I in Belgrade. Georgie was selected for the GB Rowing Team W2x and W4x events.

Georgie and her doubles partner Lola Anderson won Silver in the W2x event and then doubled up with the other GB Rowing Team W2x of Jess Leydon and Lucy Glover to come 4th in the W4x event just a couple of hours after racing in the double.

Georgie was one of the first Leeds RC Yorkshire Start athletes and made the final of Senior Double Sculls at Henley Women’s Regatta in 2017 and subsequently moved to Leander Club to continue her high-performance pathway.

A great start to the new Olympic cycle and we wish Georgie best of luck for the rest of the international season.
