Henley Royal Regatta

In a club first we sent three junior crews to Henley Royal Regatta qualifiers and for the first time in the clubs history a junior crew has qualified to compete!

The Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup 8+ put up a spirited performance and was the 7th fastest non-qualifier. With a crew stacked with juniors from J15 to J17 we’re looking forward to seeing them again next year!

Our first ever girls entry into the qualifiers was our Diamond Jubilee Challenge Cup 4x. Fresh off racing down the Henley stretch at HWR last week, they came 11th out of 47 non-qualifiers. A tremendous result in itself for a first attempt down the full course.

Finally our Fawley Quad. They did it. 10 crews to qualify out of 59 and they secured their place onto the Tuesday. It was something special to have our first ever crew in the Fawley race down the course representing the club on the Tuesday against Shiplake College.

For Isaac, Jack, Will and Zac. Legends, club history made and we hope you enjoyed the experience. You did yourselves and the club proud.

A huge thanks to all of the supporters and parents who were both in Henley and also watching at home. The support was tremendous from throughout the whole club.

Finally a special thanks and well done to Rob and Finn. You put this one together and made it happen. Epic coaching.A huge well done to all of our juniors who made the qualifiers a momentous day for the club, to the parents and supporters, and to the coaches who have worked tirelessly to make this happen.
