Peterborough Junior Regatta and GB-France Trials

The juniors were racing again in some blistering heat across the weekend at Peterborough for their junior regatta and at Nottingham for the J16 GB-France Match Trials.

We had another successful day out at Peterborough, with the J14 and J15’s testing themselves against the likes of Windsor Biys School, Bedford School and Headington School.

As ever the competition was fierce and this year we made 5 A Finals including two golds and a silver medal. Overall we came 4th in the VL rankings, beaten only by Windsor Boys, Bewl Bridge and Headington School.

A huge well done to the juniors, coaches and parents for a long day of racing on one of the hottest days of the year so far!

Over in Nottingham, the J16 boys made the clubs first attempt at the J16 GB-France Match Trials. Switching from the 4+ into the 4- the boys had a solid row coming 8th overall in J16 4-

If that wasn’t enough action at Nottingham, Lucas also did the early ID trials for Beach Sprints coming 3rd!

A huge performance from the J16 boys who haven’t been afraid to step up and challenge themselves this year.

Finally a huge thanks to Rob, Ciaran, Finn and Alice for their tireless work over the last three days. If four coaches ever needed a beer at Henley it’s them!

And as always a special thanks to Cross Keys Garage Morley for your support. We genuinely wouldn’t be able to achieve what we do without your support.
