A record breaking British Rowing Championships

This year Leeds Rowing Club sent a record breaking 26 crews to Nottingham for the British Rowing Junior and Senior Championships.

With crews ranging from J14 through to Women’s Championship standard, the four days of racing led to some spectacular results for the club with two crews making A Finals (and our WJ15 4x+ missing out on a medal by less than 0.3 seconds) and a further 7 crews making the B Finals in some hugely contested categories.

The standard of the crews and the depth of competition was fierce and it’s a real testament to how much the programme at Leeds has stepped on to be so competitive across the board.

A huge thanks to the coaches, the athletes, the parents, supporters and to Matt Mole for towing and to Cross Keys Garage for the free use of an Isuzu DMax 4x4. Your support has been invaluable to us!
