Record results at York Summer Regatta
York Summer Regatta was phenomenal. Great weather, loads of good racing, fantastic atmosphere, and the usual drama in the middle of the Ouse on race day!
But most importantly it was a great day out for the club. Of 34 crews entered, we made 26 finals and won 11 events which for a single day regatta was a record achievement!
We don’t get many chances to have the whole club racing together so it was great to have our masters, juniors and seniors all as one competing and keeping a near constant line of boats coming on and off the water throughout the day. It was equally great to see our youngest members having the opportunity to be racing in smaller boats for the first time and to see the progress some of our newer seniors and masters have made through the year.

A huge thanks as always to the volunteers and to the supporters that literally lined the esplanade making the noise and ensuring boats were getting on and off the water.
A special thanks to both Matt and Alex for their hard work from start to finish with the coaching support, to Anne-Mairead and her other half for towing and to Cross Keys Garage Morley for the free use of an Isuzu DMax 4x4 for towing.
