Leeds win the VL at Peterborough Summer Regatta

As always our traditional end of season regatta is Peterborough Summer and it did not disappoint! With a record club entry into the regatta and all squads competing, we had two days of spectacular racing.

We entered 69 crews, made 40 finals and won 13 events meaning that for the first time in many years we won the overall Victor Ludorum for the most wins of the weekend in a really close battle with Derby RC.

As always the atmosphere was fantastic with the massive gazebo presence and the noise from all of the club members, parents and supporters and the biggest cheer of the weekend coming when we were announced as winners of the Victor Ludorum.

A huge thanks to Peterborough City Rowing Club for another great regatta, to the coaches for all their work, to Matt Mole and Matt Paul for towing one trailer, to Liam for towing the other trailer and to Cross Keys Garage Morley for the free use of one of their Isuzu DMax 4x4’s. Your support as a business has been amazing.

Finally a huge thanks to all of the athletes, parents and supporters who made it a regatta to remember and a great season.
