Bronze for Connor at Rowing World Cup 1

It’s been a fantastic journey for Connor, a little over six months ago he started his journey with the GB Para Rowing team attending trials with one of our other para-trialists to support them and soon found himself being classified to row with the GB Rowing Para Squad.

Connor was selected to row in the PR3 2- with Paralympic Champion Josh O’Brien at World Rowing Cup 1 in Varese, his first GB call up. In the preliminary race, Connor and Josh placed 2nd behind France and beating the Italians.

The A Final proved to be a great race, with a tight tussle for silver and bronze medals. The Italians had a blistering sprint in the final 250m snatching the silver but Connor and Josh comfortably won the Bronze.

A huge congratulations to Connor, his first GB Rowing Team vest and a Bronze medal in his first international event!
