About the Boathouse

Situated underneath the Lakeside Café at Roundhay Park, Leeds Rowing Club first opened its doors to members here in 2006 this was the location of the club until 2014. Waterloo Lake continues to play a key role in our club and remains the home for our Learn to Row, Novice, Adaptive and Recreational/Casual rowing programmes to this date.

Facilities

 

Waterloo Lake is an 800m lake situated at Roundhay Park, enabling rowers to learn to row and enjoy rowing on a safe enclosed stretch of water.

 
 

Land training facilities

We operate a small land training building on the lake which includes five Concept 2 Ergos.

Rowing equipment

We operate a mixture of racing and recreational boats from singles to quads in our boatbay underneath the café

Food and Refreshments

We are fortunate to have the Lakeside Café right above us which is ideal for grabbing a bite to eat and a drink in a beautiful location straight after rowing!

Limited changing facilities are available on site.

Free parking is available nearby in the car park within the Roundhay Park grounds.
