Leeds Rowing Club is the only community rowing club in Leeds. In our short history we have grown from nothing to one of the largest and most successful rowing clubs in Yorkshire. As a club our presence is seen at races across Yorkshire and the country and our members compete at the highest levels of the sport with club members racing at the top domestic events including Henley Women’s Regatta and Henley Royal Regatta, but also at an international level with club members competing for England, and also representing Great Britain at European and World Championships as well as the Paralympic Games.
We need your support
As a club we want to make rowing as popular and accessible for all, but that requires support from the community and from business to make that a reality. At Leeds Rowing Club we combine both performance and participation, our new Junior Rowing Academy programme is dedicated to finding talent from the most deprived areas of Leeds and giving young people an opportunity to find a sport which will nurture and develop their talents, the World Class Start programme based at the club has created some of the most exciting young talent on the rowing scene and our senior programme attracts adults from across all walks of life.
But this does not come cheap, while we keep the costs of membership at one of the lowest prices in Yorkshire, the costs of equipment, racing fees and kit do not come cheap and it soon adds up.
