Record selection for the Yorkshire JIRR Squad

Following on from the Yorkshire Junior Inter-Regional Regatta trials which were held at Leeds Rowing Club, the club was selected to represent Yorkshire at the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta (JIRR) in the following events:

  • J14 2x

  • WJ14 4x+

  • J15 1x

  • J15 2x

  • WJ15 2x

  • WJ15 4x+

  • J16 1x

  • J16 4+

  • J16 8+

  • WJ16 2x (composite with Bradford Grammar School BC)

  • WJ16 4-

  • WJ16 8+ (regional composite)

A huge well done to the juniors and to the coaches for all of the hard work. This is a huge step change in performance compared to last seasons JIRR selection where we have gone from being selected in 3 seats to over 40. A special thanks to the Regional Junior Coordinators who helped organise and select the team and run the trials at Leeds and to all of the clubs who attended the trials including Bradford Grammar School, Doncaster, City of Sheffield, Yarm School and York City.
