Podium places at the British Indoor Rowing Championships

Leeds Rowing Club juniors and seniors had a fantastic day of racing at the British Rowing Indoor Championships in Birmingham.

Representing Leeds, as well as their schools and alumni clubs. We had 4 medals including one gold, one silver and two bronzes and a host of top placings across all of the events.

Results as follows:

  • Freddie Stuart Open 500m - Bronze

  • James King PR3 2000m - 4th

  • Jamie Ford Year 9 boys - Silver

  • Hector Jones Year 9 boys - 9th / Year 9 boys 500m - 5th

  • Dominic Johnson Year 9 boys - 13th

  • Layla McMonagle-Dunn Year 9 girls - Gold

  • Libby Chadwick Year 9 girls - 10th

  • Alex Green Year 10 boys - Bronze

  • Matty Lincoln Year 10 boys - 8th

  • Alex Dent Year 10 boys - 9th

  • Zac Lodge Year 11 boys - 5th

  • Jacob Smith Year 11 boys - 12th

  • Nieve Wahid Year 11 girls - 11th

  • Laith Ibrahim Sixth Form boys - 13th

A huge well done to all! Great to see so many of our Junior Academy athletes on the podium, huge well done to Freddie for the 500m Bronze and a special mention to Joe BB racing for Agecroft / PDA Manchester on the win in the mixed relay!
