Medals for Yorkshire at the Junior Inter Regional Regatta

Leeds started the regatta season with a bang yesterday with four podium places and a host of A finals representing Yorkshire at the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta.

With 13 crews representing the region, the juniors were looking to surpass last years JIRR performances and they did not disappoint!

Our juniors won two bronze and two silver medals this year in some spectacularly tight racing and made a further three A finals to help bump the Yorkshire Region up to 8th overall. Our highest position in many years.

A huge well done to all of the juniors who competed, for some their first ever regatta, and to the coaches for all their hard work preparing for JIRR. Thanks also to Matt Mole for towing down to Nottingham and to the junior parents for being the noisiest parents on the bank!

Finally a huge thanks to the Yorkshire Team Managers Jess and Ryan, for another great year for the regional team.
